Statistics: Russia’s inflation stays at 0.1% in June 6–Monday
MOSCOW, Jun 15 (PRIME) -- Russia’s consumer price inflation remained flat at 0.1% from June 6 through Monday for a third week in a row and reached 1.9% since January 1, the Federal State Statistics Service said in a report on Wednesday.
Prices for sugar rose 1.2% and for rye bread 0.2%, but prices for buckwheat dropped 1.3%, for eggs 0.8%, and for lamb meat, sunflower oil and millet went down 0.2–0.4%.
Prices for fruit and vegetables rose 2.2% on average. Prices for cabbage went up 13.4% and prices for potatoes, carrots and apples by 4.2–5.4%. But prices for tomatoes and cucumbers fell 8.3% and 6.6%, respectively.
Gasoline prices rose 0.3% and diesel fuel prices grew 0.2%.
